Josh Brolin and His Wife Renew Their Vows in Las Vegas After 10 Years of Marriage
In Las Vegas, in Clark County, Nevada, actor Josh Brolin, 58, and his wife Kathryn Boyd Brolin recently renewed their wedding vows. The couple shared photos from the day in a joint Instagram post on November 7, and within hours PEOPLE, Parade, Just Jared, Page Six and other outlets had followed up with reports.
According to PEOPLE, the ceremony took place at the famous Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator in front of friends and family. Kathryn captioned the post: "Vegas, Vows and Metallicaaaaa baby," adding flaming heart emojis. In the photos, Kathryn wore a sleeveless white dress with a sheer, floor-length skirt and burgundy cowboy boots, while Brolin kept things casual in a black button-down shirt, jeans and sunglasses. In one photo, he swept her off her feet beneath the chapel's famous wedding sign.
The couple's two daughters also appeared in a family photo from the day: Westlyn, 8, and Chapel, 5, their faces covered with heart emojis in the picture. Brolin also has two adult children, Trevor and Eden, from his first marriage to actress Alice Adair.
The Brolins originally tied the knot on September 24, 2016, in North Carolina. They had already marked their tenth anniversary in September with tributes to one another on Instagram. Kathryn, a photographer and filmmaker, wrote at the time that in ten years they had four kids between them, one scrappy dog, three major moves and travel all over, with "more love than I could've imagined for one lifetime." Brolin wrote that growing up he had wanted to find a playmate to share the sandpit of life with, and that ten years on, they were "still at it."
Kathryn's nod to Metallica also had a timely hook: the rock band is performing a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, with shows scheduled on November 5 and November 7, the same day the couple shared their vow renewal photos.
