Pianist Fei-Fei Joins Boise Philharmonic at Morrison Center for Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto

On the evening of Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m., the Boise Philharmonic presents its symphonic series concert 'The Planets' at the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts in Boise, with Chinese pianist Fei-Fei as guest soloist in Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major. Music Director Eric Garcia conducts; in the second half, the women's voices of the Boise Philharmonic Master Chorale join for Holst's sweeping suite 'The Planets,' a journey through seven worlds of the solar system. The concert repeats on Nov. 8 at 2 p.m.
According to the Boise Philharmonic, Fei-Fei returns to its stage to interpret Beethoven's lyrical concerto with elegance and expressiveness. The orchestra notes that 'The Planets' is one of its most requested programs, an immersive symphonic journey from the thunder of 'Mars' to the ethereal strains of 'Neptune.' Tickets start at $37, with student and youth tickets at $19.
Founded in 1960, the Boise Philharmonic is the longest-running professional symphony orchestra in Idaho's capital. This weekend's concerts arrive as Boise enters its winter performance season, and several local outlets have listed them among the weekend's top cultural picks.
