Tony Awards Renew With CBS Through 2032; 80th Ceremony Set for June 13, 2027, at Radio City

NEW YORK — The Tony Awards will remain on CBS. Tony Award Productions and CBS announced a new five-year broadcast agreement on Wednesday, November 4, keeping Broadway's biggest night on the network through 2032, with the 80th annual ceremony set for Sunday, June 13, 2027.
The milestone ceremony will air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on CBS, and stream on the premium tier of Paramount+. The telecast is produced by Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League. Raj Kapoor, Sarah Levine Hall and Jack Sussman will return to produce the 2027 ceremony. No host has been announced.
The Tony Awards have aired on CBS since 1978; by the 80th ceremony in 2027, the partnership will be 49 years old. The pre-show will continue to air exclusively on the free streaming service Tubi, and the ceremony will be available on demand to all Paramount+ subscribers from the day after the live broadcast.
The renewal comes as other major awards shows leave network television: Hollywood has announced that the Academy Awards will move to YouTube beginning in 2029. The Tonys remain one of the last big awards shows still at their longtime network home.
The 2026–27 Broadway season includes new musicals "Dirty Dancing" and "Dolly" and revivals of "Damn Yankees" and "Evita," the latter led by Rachel Zegler. Nominees, performers and the host for the 80th Tony Awards will be announced separately.
