Shangrao Cup Pickleball Tournament Set for November 7 in Lake Forest, Orange County, California
The 2026 CUAAASC (Shangrao Cup) Pickleball Tournament, the sixth annual pickleball tournament of the Chinese University Alumni Association Alliance of Southern California, will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Pickleball Haven in Lake Forest, Orange County, California. The tournament is co-hosted by the CUAAASC Pickleball Club and the US Shenzhen Federation Pickleball Club and is expected to draw more than 200 players. Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m., with play running until 9:00 p.m.
The tournament uses a 4v4 MLP team format, with each team fielding two men and two women. Competition is divided into 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 skill levels, in open and senior divisions.
The title sponsor is the Shangrao Chamber of Commerce in North America. Diamond sponsors are Thunder International Logistics and Aeconn Wealth, and the gold sponsor is Paika Sports. The title sponsorship was provided by Linda Lin, president of the Shangrao Chamber of Commerce in North America and a member of the VIP club of the US Shenzhen Federation, in the name of the chamber. The Aeconn Wealth diamond sponsorship was provided by Bianca Shan, co-founder and executive CEO of Aeconn Wealth. According to the organizers, the title sponsorship was brought together under chamber president Linda Lin and chair Cheng Xia, with the support of the chamber directors.
As for the day-of schedule, according to the organizers: volunteers arrive at 8:00 a.m. for setup, and registration for the morning division opens from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.; All Age Group MLP 14, 16 and 18 matches run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a group photo at noon and sponsor speeches and announcements at 12:30 p.m., with the morning award ceremony from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.; Senior Group (50+) MLP 12S and 14S matches run from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., with the afternoon award ceremony from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m.; All Age Group MLP 12 and Senior Group 16S matches run from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., and the evening award ceremony closes the day from 9:00 to 9:15 p.m.
Team registration was priced at an early-bird rate of $160 per team (through September 30) and a regular rate of $180 per team (October 1 to 23); registration has closed. The organizers invite the public to attend and cheer on the players.
To prepare for the tournament, the pickleball club of the US Shenzhen Federation will send four squads, captained by Harry, Li Kele, Xiaohuya and Chen Ruilian. The squads will hold a pre-tournament training session on Saturday, October 31, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the GYRATION pickleball courts, 20657 Valley Blvd, Walnut, CA 91789, led by Michael, a PPR-certified coach. Team shirts and gifts will be distributed, additional courts will be open for practice, and spectators are welcome.
Pickleball Haven is located at 25871 Atlantic Ocean Drive, Lake Forest, CA 92630. The organizers say they hope the tournament will use sport as a bridge to bring the community together and promote health, unity and friendship.
