The San Antonio Spurs beat the Portland Trail Blazers 125-103 at Moda Center in Portland on Saturday night, November 7, for their eighth consecutive victory. Trail Blazers reserve center Yang Hansen, of China, played 26 minutes off the bench and finished with 12 points, 10 rebounds, one assist and one steal, the first double-double of his NBA career.

Yang became the fourth Chinese player, after Yao Ming, Yi Jianlian and Kyle Anderson, to record a double-double in an NBA regular-season game; counting Japan's Rui Hachimura, he is the fifth Asian player to do so. Born in Zibo, Shandong Province, in 2005, Yang was drafted 16th overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2025 and traded to Portland, the ninth Chinese player ever drafted into the NBA.

Victor Wembanyama scored 29 points on 9-of-13 shooting with seven rebounds and three assists in just 24 minutes for San Antonio, sitting out the fourth quarter along with the other four starters. The Spurs never trailed, led by as many as 35 points, outrebounded Portland 51-38 and made 28 of 30 free throws. Devin Vassell added 15 points and Stephon Castle had 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Deni Avdija led Portland with 15 points, Scoot Henderson scored 13 and Damian Lillard had 12 points and seven assists. San Antonio improved to 8-2, while Portland fell to 6-3 with its second straight loss.
