G7 Foreign Ministers to Discuss Cyber Attacks After Tajani Says Pro-Russian Hackers Published His Personal Data

Sunday, November 8, 2026 · World · GSM News

ROME — Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on November 8 that the Group of Seven (G7) foreign ministers' meeting in Paris on Monday and Tuesday will discuss cyber attacks against member states. Tajani said a suspected pro-Russian group had published his personal data on the dark web on Saturday.

Tajani said French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot had agreed to put the issue on the meeting's agenda. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is among the foreign ministers attending the Paris meeting, whose agenda also includes the situation in Ukraine.

European countries have repeatedly reported Russia-linked cyber attacks and data leaks in recent years, which Russia has consistently denied involvement in. Adding cyber attacks to the G7 foreign ministers' agenda signals that member states are bringing cyber security further into diplomatic coordination.
