PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA — Koppers Holdings Inc. (NYSE: KOP) on November 6 reported third quarter 2026 results: net sales of $499.1 million, up 2.8% from $485.3 million a year earlier; net income of $14.7 million, down from $23.8 million; diluted earnings per share of $0.75 and adjusted EPS of $0.77, against $1.17 and $1.21 a year earlier; and adjusted EBITDA of $58.0 million, down 18.2%.
By segment, Railroad and Utility Products and Services sales were $232.8 million, essentially flat; Performance Chemicals sales rose 11.9% to $161.5 million, which the company attributed to volume increases in residential and industrial wood preservatives; and Carbon Materials and Chemicals sales fell 3.2% to $104.8 million, with segment adjusted EBITDA dropping to $6.1 million from $15.6 million. Chief Executive Officer and Chair Leroy Ball said the third-quarter results reflect continued challenges in the macroeconomic environment.

At the same time, Koppers set full-year 2026 sales guidance at about $1.9 billion and lowered adjusted EBITDA guidance to $220 million–$225 million, from $240 million–$250 million previously, with adjusted EPS guidance cut to $3.10–$3.25.
