Breeze Airways Launches First-Ever Nonstop Route Between Raleigh-Durham and Dayton, Starting Nov. 6 With Twice-Weekly Flights

Sunday, November 8, 2026 · States · GSM News

RALEIGH, North Carolina — Breeze Airways launched the first-ever nonstop route between Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Dayton, Ohio, on November 6, operating twice weekly. It is the first nonstop service ever offered between the two cities; travelers previously had to connect through other airports. U.S. Department of Transportation data show the market averaged only about 32 passengers a day in the year through July 2026, making the launch a bet on an entirely new market. The Dayton route is the earliest of 16 new routes Breeze is opening between November 2026 and February 2027, and the first of seven added in November-December, with the winter schedule running through March 27, 2027. Raleigh-Durham International is the main gateway to North Carolina's Research Triangle; the nonstop saves business and family travelers a connection and gives Dayton travelers direct access to the Triangle. Breeze says the winter expansion reflects the young airline's rapid growth, with Raleigh-Durham among its focus bases.
