St. Patrick Center Holds 11th Annual Veterans Day 5K on Nov. 7, Spotlighting Veteran Homelessness

ST. LOUIS, Missouri — St. Patrick Center held its 11th annual Veterans Day 5K run and walk on Saturday, November 7 at Soldiers Memorial in downtown St. Louis, raising funds and public awareness for veteran homelessness. Held on the weekend before Veterans Day (November 11), the event starts and finishes around the Soldiers Memorial landmark and draws veterans, military families and local residents. St. Patrick Center has long served people experiencing homelessness in the St. Louis area, with veterans among its priority groups, providing housing placement, employment coaching and mental-health support. Organizers say the annual 5K has become one of the center's most important community mobilizations around Veterans Day, with entry fees and donations going directly to veteran housing and employment programs.
