Tzu Chi Atlanta's Second Charity Concert Held Oct. 24 in Peachtree Corners, with 15 Mostly-Youth Performances
PEACHTREE CORNERS, Georgia — The Tzu Chi Atlanta chapter held its second charity concert on October 24 at the chapter's Gratitude Hall in Peachtree Corners, using the arts to inspire giving. According to Da Ai News' November 6 report, after last year's inaugural concert was well received, the Atlanta chapter answered the Tzu Chi headquarters' fundraising call with a second edition: 15 performances, mostly by young people and youth volunteers, while also thanking longtime community supporters. The program centered on youth talent, showing the younger generation's enthusiasm for public service and introducing audiences to Tzu Chi's local charitable work through music and performance. The Atlanta chapter has long served the metro Atlanta area with charity and community programs; its affiliated Tzu Chi Academy teaches Chinese with Overseas Community Affairs Council-approved textbooks and offers culture classes in recycling, tea ceremony, flower arranging and Jing Si aphorisms, making it an important cultural and educational anchor for the local Chinese community.
