Sunday, November 8, 2026 · States · GSM News

WEST BEND, Wisconsin — A shooting at a home in West Bend, Wisconsin, on November 7 killed two adults and two children and injured another child. The West Bend Police Department said officers responded at 11:47 a.m. to a home in the 100 block of East Washington Street and found multiple people dead inside. Police recovered a firearm believed to be connected to the shooting at the scene but did not immediately release the victims' ages or identities or discuss the sequence of events or a motive, saying the investigation is ongoing and speculation would be premature. Police said there is no ongoing threat to the community and asked the public to avoid the area. The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting the investigation, and officers were still working at the scene on the evening of November 7. Police also reminded anyone experiencing or aware of domestic violence that they can contact the local shelter organization Friends, Inc. at 262-334-5598. West Bend, about 30 miles north of Milwaukee, is the seat of Washington County. It was the most serious violent incident in Wisconsin that day; police said updates will be released as they become available, with investigators processing evidence and interviewing people connected to the case.
