Louisville Receiver Jahyde Brown Breaks Kentucky Record With 31st Receiving Touchdown

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Christian Academy-Louisville senior wide receiver Jahyde Brown set a Kentucky high school football record on October 30, catching three touchdown passes in a 49-0 regular-season finale win over Fern Creek to reach 31 receiving touchdowns for the season, USA Today reported.
The previous state single-season record was 30, set by Owensboro Catholic's William Carrico in 2023. Brown, a University of Louisville commit, had 28 receiving touchdowns through his first nine games, the most in the nation.
Christian Academy is a Class 3A favorite chasing another unbeaten run and a fifth straight state championship, which means Brown will have playoff games to add to his total. The national single-season record for receiving touchdowns is 39, shared by three players, and Brown now takes aim at it.
