Pastor Ezra Jin: 150+ Church Leaders Still Detained in China; Predicts "Enormous Revival"

Pastor Ezra Jin, founder of Beijing's Zion Church, told the 2026 Global Religious Freedom Gathering at Dallas Baptist University that China still holds more than 150 church leaders and pastors, crediting advocacy and prayer for his own release.
Jin was allowed to leave for the US in July after 266 days in detention. He said eight Zion leaders remain detained under harsher treatment as authorities rush convictions, and pastors of Beijing's 1,000-member Jiaquan house church were also detained — part of a widening campaign against China's most influential urban churches, per ChinaAid.
Yet he predicted "enormous revival": "External pressure cannot take away internal faith... once the environment changes, that force will suddenly burst forth. You may see fruit thirtyfold, sixtyfold, a hundredfold. I believe while I am still alive, I will see China experience another enormous revival." (Via Christian Post, SAVED News)
