Report: 500M+ Christians Face Bible Access Restrictions; Afghanistan Worst

The Bible Access Initiative released its 2026 Bible Access List Thursday: more than 500 million Christians worldwide face Bible access restrictions — through hostile government laws or socioeconomic barriers.
Covering 106 countries, the report ranks Afghanistan worst, followed by Yemen, Somalia, North Korea, Eritrea and Mauritania ("maximum restrictions"). Turkmenistan, Libya, Sudan and Iran face "extreme" restrictions; China, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, Cuba and others are "severe."
The list maps both legal bans and economic barriers to Scripture access worldwide. (Via Christian Post)
