Early Voting Ends October 31 in Loudoun County: Polls Open 6 A.M. to 7 P.M. on Election Day

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Virginia — Saturday, October 31, was the last day of in-person early voting in Virginia, ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, November 3, when polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
According to a voter guide published on October 31, in-person early voting began on September 18 and ended on October 31, and voters do not need a reason to vote early. Early voting takes place at the local registrar's office or a satellite location, which may differ from a voter's Election Day precinct, and hours vary by locality — Loudoun County's office listed Saturday hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On Election Day, voters must go to their assigned precinct, and anyone in line by 7 p.m. may still vote. Virginia law requires voters to show an acceptable form of identification; voters without acceptable ID may sign an ID confirmation statement or vote a provisional ballot.
The deadline to register in advance was October 23, but voters can still register through Election Day and vote a provisional ballot, which is counted separately subject to approval by the local electoral board.
