National Association of Evangelicals Shares Five Things to Know: World Relief Founded 1944, 3,000 Chaplains, 600 Million Evangelicals Worldwide

The National Association of Evangelicals (NAE), which has represented evangelical concerns in the United States since 1942, published "5 Things You May Not Know" on October 26. The NAE says its policy advocacy reflects biblical teaching, set out in its "For the Health of the Nation" framework.
The NAE's humanitarian arm, World Relief, was founded in 1944. NAE Chaplaincy represents more than 3,000 chaplains nationwide and has launched an Evangelical Board of Certified Chaplains for healthcare chaplains.
The NAE's partner, the World Evangelical Alliance, spans 140 national evangelical alliances and more than 100 international organizations, representing more than 600 million evangelical Christians worldwide.
NAE President Walter Kim's father fled communist forces in China and arrived in South Korea as a refugee. Kim's theme as president is "Influence for Good."
