Lindsay Lohan Recreates Iconic 'Mean Girls' Scene for Mean Girls Day as Video Tops 6 Million Views

October 3 is “Mean Girls Day” for fans of the 2004 comedy. On Saturday morning, Lindsay Lohan posted a video on TikTok, Instagram and X recreating the film's most famous scene with director Mark Waters — the moment when her crush asks what day it is and she replies, “It's October 3rd,” the line that turned the date into an unofficial fan holiday.
The clip took off within hours, passing 4 million views on TikTok and 2 million on X, with 1.4 million likes on Instagram. Jonathan Bennett, who played Aaron Samuels in the film, commented on Instagram: “This made me miss you two so much!” Written by Tina Fey and co-starring Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried, “Mean Girls” remains a pop-culture fixture 22 years after its release.
Lohan and Waters are currently working together again on “Return to You,” a new Netflix romantic film starring Lohan and Henry Golding, with Lohan also producing. Waters previously directed Lohan in “Freaky Friday.”
