Rays Set 26-Man World Series Roster: Clevinger In, Hopkins Out

TAMPA, Florida — The Tampa Bay Rays set their 26-man roster ahead of the World Series: pitcher Clevinger made the roster, while Hopkins was left off for this round.
The World Series opens on Friday, October 23. The Rays had already announced their Game 1 pitching plans, and the roster choice underlines the club's emphasis on pitching depth for the series, reserving scarce spots for the rotation and bullpen.
Rosters cannot be changed during the series, so both clubs will play the entire World Series with the 26 players selected.
