HoYoverse's Petit Planet Launches Globally on December 4: Pre-Launch Program Airs, Switch 2 Version Set for 2027
Petit Planet, the new life simulation game from HoYoverse (miHoYo), will launch globally on December 4. HoYoverse aired a pre-launch special program on November 1, with developers presenting the game's features and its run-up event schedule. The game will be free to play on PC (via the Epic Games Store and the official client), iOS and Android with cross-platform support, and pre-downloads open on December 1.
Petit Planet is HoYoverse's first cozy galactic life simulation game. Players take the role of Planet Tenders who cultivate their own small planet and live alongside fuzzy animal Neighbors, with fishing, gardening, cooking, decorating and dressing up among the daily activities. Pre-registration is open on the official website and platform stores, with rewards including the Bestie Star-Light and the Sproutling Outfit Set, and a Launch a Planet design event began on the official site on November 1.
According to Korean games outlet Inven Global, HoYoverse will also host the game's first offline event in South Korea with a 100-booth presence at G-STAR 2026, held at BEXCO in Busan from November 19 to 22.
HoYoverse has confirmed a Nintendo Switch 2 version for 2027, with cross-platform play alongside PC and mobile. The announced launch platform list does not include Steam or PlayStation 5.
