Fresno State beat Oregon State 38-22 on a rainy Saturday night, October 31, at Valley Children's Stadium in Fresno, California. Quarterback Jayden Mandal accounted for four touchdowns as the Bulldogs snapped a two-game losing streak and ended the Beavers' five-game win streak.

Oregon State opened the scoring on Caleb Ojeda's 54-yard field goal, but Mandal answered with a 15-yard touchdown run for a 7-3 Fresno State lead after one quarter.

In the second quarter, Ojeda's 28-yard field goal cut it to 7-6 before Bryson Donelson broke a 63-yard touchdown run to make it 14-6. Ojeda added a third field goal, and Mandal hit Josiah Freeman for a 26-yard touchdown before halftime for 21-9. Donelson rushed for 100 yards on just nine carries in the first half.

Manaki Watanabe's 30-yard field goal opened the third-quarter scoring at 24-9. After Martin Owusu's strip sack was recovered by Fresno State, Mandal ran 3 yards for a touchdown and a 31-9 lead. Cornell Hatcher Jr. scored on a 5-yard run for Oregon State, but Freeman's second touchdown catch, from 31 yards, made it 38-16 after three quarters.

Fresno State missed a 44-yard field goal in the fourth quarter and Oregon State twice turned the ball over on downs. Braden Atkinson threw his only touchdown pass of the night with about two minutes left, but the conversion failed, and Fresno State ran out the clock on the 38-22 final.

Mandal finished 11-of-17 for 202 yards with two touchdown passes and one interception, plus 34 rushing yards and two scores. Atkinson went 33-of-59 for 373 yards and a touchdown but lost two fumbles. Fresno State improved to 5-3 overall and 2-2 in the Pac-12; Oregon State fell to 5-3 and 3-1. With Boise State's win the same night, the Broncos sit alone atop the Pac-12 at 4-0, and Oregon State hosts Texas State next week.
