Early Voting Tops 976,000 in Five Metro Atlanta Counties; Gwinnett Up 25.4%

Reported on November 1, early votes cast across five north metro Atlanta counties in Georgia had reached 976,459, according to state voting data through the morning of October 31. Fulton County led with 339,024 ballots; Gwinnett County cast 237,456, up 25.4% from the same point in the 2022 midterms, the largest increase among the five counties.
The reports stressed that these are unofficial county participation figures: they count ballots cast, not candidate preferences, and strong early voting does not necessarily mean higher final turnout. Polls on Election Day, November 3, are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; voters must go to their assigned polling place, anyone in line by 7 p.m. may still vote, and domestic absentee ballots must reach the county elections office by 7 p.m. on November 3.
Election officials in the north Atlanta counties reminded voters that Election Day polling places may differ from early voting sites, and urged them to check their assigned location on the state's voter page ahead of time and allow time for lines.
