The Oak Ridge Boys Release 'Buried Treasures': 'Live Forever' Video Premieres
The Oak Ridge Boys released their new album Buried Treasures on October 30 through Lightning Rod Records, a ten-song collection of songs the group has long loved but never gathered on one record. The album was produced and engineered by Anderson East, with Grammy winner Dave Cobb as executive producer and mixer, and was recorded live at Sanctuary Blonde Studio in Nashville. Its only newly written song is the title track, by Grammy-winning songwriter Aaron Raitiere.
The video for the album track 'Live Forever' premiered on Taste of Country on release day. The song was written by the late Billy Joe Shaver and Eddy Shaver and is sung by William Lee Golden, who worked with both Shavers early in his career. Directed by Brandon Wood and filmed at Beaufield Ranch, the video also features Golden's wife, Simone.
Other tracks include 'Bridge Over Troubled Water,' 'Lean on Me,' 'Stardust,' 'What a Wonderful World' and 'How Great Thou Art.' The album is available on CD, deluxe gold vinyl and digital formats, and the group marked release weekend with appearances at the Grand Ole Opry. It is the group's second studio album with Ben James, who joined in January 2024; bass singer Richard Sterban sings on the record but is on temporary touring leave for health reasons, with Aaron McCune in the road lineup.
