Follow-Up: Stolen Truck of Escaped Tennessee Inmate Morley Found in Marion, Illinois; Manhunt Continues as Combined Reward Reaches $15,000

LAKE COUNTY, Tennessee — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) announced after about 1 p.m. on October 27 that the white 2008 Ford F-350 pickup stolen by escaped inmate Jacob Allen Morley, 28, had been found behind a shopping center in Marion, Illinois; Morley himself was not located. Morley, serving a life sentence for first-degree murder, escaped from the Northwest Correctional Complex in Lake County late on October 25 and stole the truck at about 1 a.m. on October 26 (Tennessee plate 138BBQV, marked "Lindamood Planting Company").
Morley is on TBI's Most Wanted list. On October 28, Governor Bill Lee increased the state's reward from $2,500 to $10,000; together with rewards from TBI and the US Marshals Service, the combined reward for information leading to his arrest now reaches $15,000. TBI describes Morley as 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 240 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes, and says he should be considered dangerous. Anyone who sees him should not approach him and should call 911 immediately or TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
GSM has previously reported Morley's escape and his addition to the Most Wanted list; this story is a follow-up in that series.
