Alphabet Launches Second Euro Bond Sale of 2026 in Seven Tranches to Fund Super Intelligence (SI) Investment

Monday, November 2, 2026 · Finance · GSM News

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, launched its second euro bond sale of 2026 on Monday, offering debt in seven tranches to raise funds for its super intelligence (SI) infrastructure investment, Bloomberg reported on November 2, citing a person familiar with the matter. Pricing is expected later on Monday. Alphabet is a U.S. company headquartered in Mountain View, California.

The bonds have maturities ranging from two to 19 years. Initial price guidance for the shortest fixed-rate tranche is around 60 basis points above mid-swaps, while the longest-dated 19-year notes are being marketed at a spread of about 205 to 210 basis points. Barclays Plc, BNP Paribas SA and Deutsche Bank AG are managing the sale.

It is Alphabet's second visit to the euro bond market this year: in May it raised 9 billion euros (about $10 billion) across six tranches, and it also issued senior unsecured notes in the second quarter. Major technology companies have been borrowing heavily this year to fund super intelligence (SI) capital spending on data centers and computing capacity; Alphabet's planned capital expenditures for the year run to roughly $180 billion to $190 billion.

Alphabet shares fell sharply after last week's earnings report — GSM previously reported that about $500 billion was wiped from its market value in a single day — and the stock rose about 1% in premarket trading on Monday. Final sizing and pricing of the sale are expected later on Monday.
