Texas Secretary of State's Election Day Reminder: Polls Open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on November 3, Check Your Polling Place and ID First

Texas Secretary of State Robert S. Howden has issued an Election Day reminder for the November 2026 general election: Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, and eligible Texans who have not yet voted should confirm their polling location and prepare to cast a ballot on or before that day. The secretary of state's office is based in Austin, Travis County, Texas, the state capital.
Early voting continues through Friday, October 30. On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. statewide. Voters may be required to vote at their assigned polling location if their county does not use countywide polling, so the office urges voters to confirm their location in advance.
'If you plan to vote on Election Day, now is the time to confirm your polling location and make sure you have an approved form of ID,' Howden said, directing voters to VoteTexas.gov for official information before heading to the polls.
Voters can confirm their registration status, locate their polling place and review identification requirements at VoteTexas.gov, or call 1-800-252-VOTE for official assistance with Election Day hours, polling locations and key deadlines.
