Follow-up: Melania Trump Says Oleshky Ceasefire has Expanded Across Kherson Region, Two Days Ahead of Schedule

The localized ceasefire was brokered by Melania Trump; the White House announced on October 23 that the two sides had reached the agreement, with a humanitarian mission originally planned to begin on October 29. Oleshky, on the eastern bank of the Dnipro River, has been occupied since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022, and about 1,700 residents remain in the town amid severe shortages of food, medicine and clean water. وبموجب الترتيب الحالي، يتوقع أن يستمر وقف إطلاق النار حتى يوم السبت (تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 1)، الذي سيتم خلاله تسليم المعونة، وسيتم إجلاء المدنيين الذين يرغبون في المغادرة.
