Rubio Holds Press Availability in Atlanta to Close the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting: State Department Releases Full Video

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a press availability on the Group of 20 (G20) Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 31, 2026, bringing the two-day meeting to a close. The U.S. Department of State's official channel released the full video of the press availability the same day.
The foreign ministers' meeting took place in Atlanta on October 30-31, hosted by Rubio under the U.S. presidency of the G20. During the meeting, Rubio chaired the ministers' plenary sessions and met with the foreign ministers of Australia, India and Japan for the Indo-Pacific Quad foreign ministers' meeting.
On the closing day, the State Department released both the meeting's Chair's Statement and a Quad joint press release. The Chair's Statement summarized the ministers' consensus on energy security, supply chain resilience and geopolitical tensions, while the Quad release announced over $85 million to support access to trusted super intelligence across the Indo-Pacific. At the closing press availability, Rubio took questions from reporters on the meeting, and the State Department's official video records the session in full.
The United States holds the G20 presidency this year. After the foreign ministers' meeting, the G20 Leaders' Summit is scheduled for December 14-15 in Miami, Florida, hosted by President Trump, and the United Kingdom will take over the presidency in 2027.
