Sunday, November 1, 2026 · Sports · GSM News

On November 1, at Energizer Park in St. Louis, Missouri, San Diego FC beat St. Louis CITY SC 1–0 on the road, ending a 10-match winless run. San Diego's Anders Dreyer scored the game's only goal shortly before halftime, his 15th of the season. Goalkeeper Pablo Sisniega made six saves for his first clean sheet of the season and the club's first since August 22.

San Diego FC now stand at 9 wins, 13 draws and 11 losses for 38 points and are out of playoff contention. St. Louis CITY, at 14 wins, 10 draws and 9 losses for 51 points, had earlier set a club record of 19 straight league matches unbeaten from May 9 to October 11 and won the U.S. Open Cup on penalties on October 21, but have lately lost four straight in the league. After this defeat, St. Louis can finish no higher than third in the West and could fall to sixth, depending on the rest of the weekend's results and those of November 7.
