Jessica Alba's Kerrigan Halloween Costume Sparks Backlash: Photo Deleted a Day Later

On Halloween night, actor Jessica Alba attended a Los Angeles party hosted by Vas J Morgan and Michael Braun dressed as former figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, in a white skating dress and skates with a fake-bloodied bandage wrapped around her knee. Her friend Kelly Sawyer dressed as Kerrigan's rival Tonya Harding, carrying a prop baton. Alba posted party photos on Instagram on November 1 with the caption 'Happy Halloween from Tonya ... and Nancy.'
The costumes referenced the January 1994 attack at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, when Kerrigan was struck in the knee with a baton by Shane Stant in an assault investigators tied to Harding's circle, one of the most notorious scandals in American sports. After criticism online, Alba deleted the post; her representatives had not responded to Page Six's request for comment as of November 2.
