Bruins Sign Forward Marat Khusnutdinov to Three-Year, $11.85 Million Extension
The Boston Bruins announced on Wednesday, October 21, that they have signed 24-year-old forward Marat Khusnutdinov to a three-year contract extension worth $11.85 million. The deal carries an average annual value of $3.95 million and keeps him with the Bruins through the 2029-30 season.
According to NESN, Khusnutdinov is in the final season of his current contract, which carries a cap hit of just $925,000, and had been set to become a restricted free agent with arbitration rights in July 2027. The extension is a major raise after the best offensive campaign of his NHL career: in 2025-26 he set career highs with 15 goals and 33 points in 77 games. Through 10 games this season he has two goals and five points. The signing continues Boston's push to build around its younger players. (GSM, based on NESN reporting)
