Chinese-Peruvian Restaurant Cha Chin to Open in River North: 70-Seat Venue Set for 407 N. Clark Street

River North in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, will gain a Chinese-Peruvian fusion restaurant. Éxodo Hospitality Group announced it will open Cha Chin at 407 N. Clark Street. According to Connect CRE on October 21, the 2,650-square-foot space will feature a 70-seat dining room and a seven-seat bar.
The restaurant was designed by Chicago studio Crespo and Br, led by Daniela Crespo and Vanessa Briceño, the designers of Matilda and longtime Éxodo design partners. "With Cha Chin, we want to tell a story around unexpected Chinese cuisine through our own perspective and create something that will bring a fresh conversation to Chicago's dining scene," said Éxodo culinary director José Luis Chávez.
Albert Friedman, CEO and chairman of Friedman Properties, said Cha Chin will further diversify River North's culinary offerings and reinforce its reputation as a destination for award-winning chefs and hospitality groups. No opening date was given in the report. (GSM, reporting from Connect CRE)
