Public company Perimeter Solutions will move its headquarters to Charlotte on November 4 and rebrand
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina — Charlotte, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, is gaining another public-company headquarters. Perimeter Solutions (NYSE: PRM), based in St. Louis, Missouri, announced it will move its headquarters to Charlotte on November 4 and change its name to Perimeter Group Inc., according to an October 22 report by Charlotte Newsroom citing Business North Carolina. The company manufactures fire-retardant products and machinery and parts for the medical industry.
"Perimeter has grown to six businesses, and the Perimeter Group name better represents the company as a whole," CEO Haitham Khouri said in a statement. "Our approach is unchanged. We stay close to our customers, understand their needs, and meet those needs with high-quality products and responsive service." After the rebrand, the retardant business will keep the Perimeter Solutions name, while its suppressant business, Solberg, will be known as Solberg Fire.
The company's annual report lists 356 full-time employees as of December 31, 2025; after acquiring Medical Manufacturing Technologies (MMT) in January, it added another 356 employees. MMT is headquartered in Ballantyne, in south Charlotte. Perimeter's sales last year were $652.8 million, up 16% from the previous year.
