[HUNTINGTON BEACH] Huntington Beach is a city in Orange County, California. According to the City of Huntington Beach website, the Huntington Beach Fire Department's 2026 Annual Open House was held Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fire Station 1-Gothard (18311 Gothard Street, between Talbert and Ellis), free and open to the public.

The open house coincides with Fire Prevention Week and featured firefighting demonstrations at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., including vehicle extrication and live-fire scenarios. Highlights included interactive activities for kids, photos with Sparky, tours of the fire station, home fire-safety tips, displays of Fire and Marine Safety apparatus, hands-only CPR education, information on fire service and marine safety careers, and community partner booths.

The city advised attendees to park at Seabreeze Church (18162 Gothard Street, about 200 yards from the event) or along the north side of Ellis (between Goldenwest and Gothard) and other allowable spots nearby; no parking was available at the event site, though a drop-off zone was provided at the entrance. Carpooling or biking was encouraged.

For Chinese families with children, it was a free, family-friendly outing where kids could meet local firefighters, climb aboard fire trucks and learn practical fire-safety and escape knowledge. For information, the Fire Department can be reached at (714) 536-5411.
