Waymo Launches Driverless Rides at Harry Reid Airport in Las Vegas Starting October 21

Wednesday, October 21, 2026 · Cities · GSM News

Waymo announced on October 21 that it has begun offering driverless rides to and from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, with pickups and drop-offs at dedicated autonomous vehicle zones on the ground level of Terminals 1 and 3.

The service is initially limited to some of Waymo's existing Las Vegas riders and will expand to all customers over time. Waymo only opened rides to the Las Vegas public in September and currently serves about 24 square miles in the city.

This is the sixth major airport Waymo serves, after Phoenix Sky Harbor, Nashville, San Antonio, San Francisco and San Jose. Amazon-owned Zoox already offers rides at the airport, and in August Nevada regulators approved permits allowing Tesla and Uber to deploy thousands of robotaxis over the coming year.
