Minneapolis is a city in Hennepin County, Minnesota. Minnesota media reported that officials at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport expect a busy Minnesota Educator Academy (MEA) break beginning October 14, with passenger volumes projected about 16 percent above average fall levels during the stretch.

The airport forecasts about 50,000 people passing through security checkpoints on both Wednesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 15, and more than 44,000 on Sunday, October 18, the final day of the break. Early mornings and late afternoons are expected to be the busiest periods.

The MEA break centers on the statewide educators' professional development conference, held this year on October 15 at the St. Paul RiverCentre. The airport's travel guidance lists arrival three hours before international flights and two hours before domestic departures.
