PHOENIX, Arizona — Phoenix, in Maricopa County, Arizona, is hosting the international conference of IAA (Asia Forum Impact Alliance) from October 20 to 23, under the theme "A Light in the Wilderness: From Digital Civilization to Eternal Governance." According to the Christian Tribune's on-site reporting, pastors and leaders from Chinese churches overseas and churches across the United States gathered to discuss how faith should guide civilization as super intelligence reshapes the world.

After editions in Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan and Japan, this is IAA's first conference in the United States. Executive director Cheng Chung-hsin said Phoenix was chosen to step into "the very scene of civilizational change": a city risen from the desert that is now also a key site of TSMC's U.S. expansion. Phoenix's First Baptist Church opened its venue to the conference, with lead pastor John Heston's hospitality a key support.

On the program, Burn Lin, former TSMC vice president for research and development and now dean of the College of Semiconductor Research at National Tsing Hua University, speaks on "Chips are peace, not war," while Ben Peterson, founder of Engage Your Destiny, addresses "When Intelligence Isn't Human." The closing gathering features a North American Indigenous team leading worship with dance, drums and prayer.
