EPA Holds Veterans Hiring Event at Research Triangle Park: Open Only to Veterans and Service Members

DURHAM, North Carolina — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency held a veterans hiring event on October 22 at its Research Triangle Park campus in Durham, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eastern at 109 TW Alexander Drive. The event was listed on USAJOBS, the federal government's official employment site, and hosted by the EPA.
The in-person event let job seekers meet EPA hiring managers face to face and sit for informational interviews. It was open only to veterans and active-duty service members, required an advance RSVP, had limited space, and did not accept walk-ins. Because the campus is a secure federal facility, attendees were asked to arrive 30 minutes early for security screening and to bring a REAL ID-compliant identification.
The EPA did not announce a specific number of openings, and federal positions must still be applied for through formal USAJOBS vacancy announcements. Research Triangle Park is a major EPA research campus housing agency laboratories and offices. (GSM, based on the USAJOBS event listing)
