Raleigh Greenways Mark 50 Years With a Week of Rides and Nature Walks
Raleigh is a city in Wake County, North Carolina. Raleigh is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its Capital Area Greenway System with a full week of public activities. In an update posted on October 6, the city listed bike rides, a greenway run and guided nature walks scheduled through October 7 and beyond, including a commuter bike ride and an evening run on October 7. The greenway network is a daily route for commuting and recreation across the city, and officials hope the anniversary events will draw more families onto the trails to experience a system that has shaped Raleigh for half a century.
