Raleigh is a city in Wake County, North Carolina. The Raleigh Police Department hosted National Coffee with a Cop Day on October 7, setting up at locations across the city's police districts. According to the city's announcement, sessions ran from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at coffee shops, a mall and neighborhood restaurants, making it easier for workers and parents to stop by nearby. The department said the informal format lets residents raise safety questions directly and helps officers better understand neighborhood concerns, building stronger day-to-day relationships between police and the community.
