Harford Fire Burns 54 Acres in Riverside County; Forward Progress Stopped
A vegetation fire (the Harford Fire) broke out around 2 p.m. on Oct 4 near the 21000 block of Harford Park Ln, southwest of Perris in the Mead Valley area of Riverside County, near Lake Matthews and the Harford Springs Reserve. Pushed northwest by irregular winds, it grew to 54 acres by 4 p.m.; Cal Fire assigned four airtankers, the spread slowed significantly around 3:30 p.m., and forward progress has been stopped.
