465+ Orange County Workers Set to Strike Tuesday; County Says Contingency Plans Ready
Teamsters Local 952 announced Oct. 8 that more than 465 members working in Orange County public works, waste and recovery, and community resources departments will strike on Tuesday, Oct. 13 if no contract is reached, potentially affecting road and flood-channel maintenance, landfills, parks and beaches. The county said it respects lawful strike activity and has contingency plans to maintain essential services.
