Orange County Launches El Niño Emergency Website Ahead of Storm Season

The County of Orange on October 9 launched a dedicated El Niño emergency-response website, with timely storm news, links to county and city resources, and preparation guidance. OC Public Works also posted a page, pwom.oc.gov/el-nino, on flood-proofing homes and businesses, safe wet-weather travel, and how the county is preparing critical infrastructure. With repeated rounds of heavy rain, strong winds, mountain snow, flooding, landslides and coastal flooding expected this winter, residents are urged to make an emergency plan and kit and sign up for alerts at AlertOC.
