FEMA’s Ready.gov Highlights Isaias Storm Safety: Plan, Pack and Listen Locally
FEMA’s Ready.gov page, updated October 8, is featuring “Stay Storm Safe: Isaias,” urging residents to check emergency plans, gather supplies and listen to local officials.
The practical checklist for families is straightforward: confirm evacuation routes and meeting points; prepare water, food, medicine, chargers and copies of key documents; and follow alerts from local officials, the National Weather Service and the FEMA App. For flooded roads, the long-standing rule remains: turn around, don’t drown.
