[Social Media Buzz] Google Leads the Meme: "Microwave Spin" Effect Sweeps TikTok, Everything Gets a Turn
The instigator of this craze wasn't netizens — it was Google itself. To promote Gemini AI, Google released an official prompt: make any object (shoes, cups, toys — anything) spin 360° like it's in a microwave, completing a full turn in 7.5 seconds before the microwave goes "DING."
After Google posted it captioned "back after going around in circles," creators jumped on immediately — everything belongs in the microwave now. The trend has burned from September into October, becoming one of 2026's most delightful SI video formats.
It's a rare case of an official account joining the meme game: a tech giant manufacturing virality itself, working far better than any ad buy.
