[Social Media Buzz] Birthday Controversy at 84: Amitabh Bachchan's Alleged Handshake Snub Sparks Polarized Debate
On October 11, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan turned 84. A video went viral on social media that day appearing to show him declining a female fan's handshake request, sparking polarized debate among netizens.
One side argues stars deserve personal space and shouldn't be morally coerced; the other says the gesture hurt fans' feelings, especially on a birthday. The video continued to spread from October 11-12, with multiple Indian media outlets covering it.
This is a purely social-media-driven celebrity controversy with no official statement, its heat coming entirely from grassroots discussion.
