Woman Killed After Vehicle Plunges 200 Feet Down Cliff at Cajon Pass
A Hesperia woman died early Sunday after a car plummeted about 200 feet over the side of the road at the Cajon Pass in San Bernardino County, authorities said.
The solo-vehicle crash was first reported shortly before 6 a.m. Oct. 11 alongside the 15 Freeway, south of Cleghorn Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman died at the scene. She was identified as Jeorjina Espericueta, 35, of Hesperia.
It was not initially clear whether the vehicle originated from the freeway or nearby Route 66, and the investigation remained in its early stages.
