Cerritos to Launch New Online Permitting System on October 26

Cerritos is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The City of Cerritos in Los Angeles County announced on October 13 that it will launch a new online permitting system on Monday, October 26 — a full-service permitting portal covering the Community Development and Public Works departments, intended to streamline permitting and approval processes for residents and businesses. Mayor Lynda Johnson said the system will make it easier and more efficient for community members to access city services.
The system covers permits and planning approvals for residential, commercial and industrial development projects; excavation and encroachment work; building and safety services and inspections; and tree and landscape approvals. It will be available through the city's permits page (cerritos.gov/permits)), with tutorial videos.
In preparation for the launch, the Community Development Department's permitting counter will be closed from Monday, October 19 through Friday, October 23, and the Public Works Engineering counter will be closed October 21 through 23. Online submissions remain available during the closures, and staff remain available for general questions.
