Beaumont Man Killed After Speeding Through Intersection and Overturning; CHP Investigating
Beaumont is a city in Riverside County, California. The California Highway Patrol's Beaumont Area office is investigating a fatal crash. At about 1:29 p.m. on Oct. 3, a 32-year-old Beaumont resident driving a 2007 Honda Civic westbound on Tamarack Road approached the Rushmore Avenue intersection at a high rate of speed, failed to stop, drove straight through the intersection and overturned several times into open desert. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a seat belt.
It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer J. Vasquez at the CHP Beaumont Area office at 951-846-5300.
