Los Angeles County Voter Registration Deadline Is Oct. 19; Ballots Mailed and 400-Plus Drop Boxes Open

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk is reminding residents that the voter registration deadline for the November 3 election is October 19. Eligible residents can register online through the state's voter registration site (registertovote.ca.gov) or by paper form. Voters who miss the deadline can still register and vote on the same day at any vote center.
The Registrar's office said vote-by-mail ballots began going out to all registered voters in the county on October 5, and more than 400 official ballot drop boxes opened the same day. Vote centers will begin opening on October 24, and polls on Election Day, November 3, will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voters can find drop box and vote center locations and track the status of their ballot through the Registrar's website, lavote.gov. The county's Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk is Dean C. Logan.
