Niagara Parks Reports 13% Summer Attendance Growth; US Visitor Spending Share Rises to 40%

NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario, Oct. 13 — Attraction attendance across Niagara Parks rose 13 percent between May 1 and September 7, 2026, compared with the same period in 2025, the Ontario agency reported on Tuesday.
By spending share, Canadian visitors accounted for 41 percent, U.S. visitors 40 percent — up from 36 percent in 2025 — and other international markets 19 percent, led by the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. Peak summer employment reached about 2,000 workers, and 25 seasonal jobs were converted into year-round roles.
The agency said its flying theatre attraction, Niagara Takes Flight, drew more than 470,000 guests in its first year, and that a CAD 25 million investment is planned for the Journey Behind the Falls redevelopment across the summers of 2027 and 2028. Niagara Parks is a self-funded Ontario government agency responsible for attractions and public spaces along a 56-kilometre stretch of the Niagara River corridor.
